A supernatural drama television series Salem already has two seasons. Now, the audience is waiting for season 3, that is scheduled to premiere in November, 2016.
But first, let’s make a small overview of the first two seasons. The plot of the series is based on a true story. Sometimes the original historical facts are omitted and critical reaction is not always positive. The executive producer is focused extensively on various details of that epoch. History fans will duly appreciate his work. A small town of Salem is well known among those, who generally believe witchcraft to be real. After all Salem is a place of the infamous Salem witch trials, that took place when the government was dominated by Puritans, who didn’t restrain their hatred.
The main intrigue of the third season of “Salem” is the death of Mary. During the press conference with Brannon Braga and Adam Simon it was revealed that the love story of Marie and John will continue. Death is not the end of this story. The executiveproducers refused to comment the further events in order to heighten interest to an upcoming season.
Salem plot touches on many important topics. The action is set in the time when all actions of horror-stricken people were desperate and ruthless. Maybe we should afraid a repeat of that awful times. After all what is expected for mankind in case of a new “witch hunt”?
